Worst car rental experience ever - Avis Aruba Airport
Apart from the fact that Avis rented us a car that you would never expect from a company like Avis (lots of little dents, worn-out wiperblades, malfunctioning central locking (every door needed to be locked individually)) , we were shocked that we got charged 117 euros (!) for the fact that they found beachsand in the car which would take ‘a lot of time to clean’, when we returned the car. And there is nothing that you can do as they seem to have the right take that money from your creditcard account (read the little letters in the contract). A real scam. Never again. Watch out for supervisor Mirugia. Useless if you are a customer.

Long wait, old vehicles
I have always rented from Avis, but lately the wait at the airport desk has become unreasonable. One person only behind the desk. No attempt to speed up the checkout. to give you an idea, we now get into our car about 1 hr after leaving the arrival hall. Twice the car i rented (kia Carens) had to be returned due to mechanical fault.

Good Cars, Good Service
Cars are reliable and most in new condition, unlike other local car rental companies which may offer a cheaper rate but less realiable and quality vehicle. Rates are competitive and the staff is friendly, helpful and well presented. Last thing you want to worry about in your vacation is problems with a Car.
